Julie Pettit Wins Outstanding Young Lawyer in Texas Award

DALLAS – The Pettit Law Firm is proud to announce that founder and managing partner Julie Pettit is the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Young Lawyer in Texas Award. This prestigious award, given by the Texas Young Lawyers Association, is awarded to one attorney annually who has exemplified professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community.
Ms. Pettit focuses her practice on real estate and commercial litigation. She represents consumers and private real estate investors, as well as nonprofit organizations and corporations of all sizes. Ms. Pettit is a frequent speaker and author on real estate and commercial litigation issues, such as the Dodd-Frank Act, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules, and foreclosure law.
Ms. Pettit is well-respected throughout the legal community. She has earned a reputation for her success as a lawyer and for her philanthropic efforts. Ms. Pettit serves on the Dallas Women Lawyers Association’s board and is the co-chair of the Mentoring Circles committee, which connects young women lawyers with seasoned women lawyers serving as mentors.
Ms. Pettit is actively involved in the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. She is also a Barrister in the William “Mac” Taylor Inn of Court.
In the community, Ms. Pettit volunteers as a mentor with the West Dallas nonprofit Mercy Street. She is also the founder of Project Mom, an organization committed to providing valuable resources, events, and outings for local moms.
Ms. Pettit was honored with this prestigious award during the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s Annual Meeting on June 23, 2017 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas.
